Bio

Maggie Gerardi has been the administrator at Whitcomb Terrace and an employee at Aspen Valley Health since 2001, reflecting a lifelong commitment to caring for older adults in our community. As an undergraduate in communications at Wake Forest University, she focused her studies on interpersonal communication, with an emphasis on cultural and generational communication. After graduation, Maggie traveled and explored the world before moving to Aspen, where she met her husband, started a family and began a career with Whitcomb Terrace and Aspen Valley Health. One highlight of her journey has been to introduce her passion to  her children and their peers in the local schools, creating intergenerational opportunities while connecting youth with residents at Whitcomb Terrace to share mutual interests. Maggie is a certified Assisted Living Administrator and has been appointed to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment Assisted Living Advisory Committee, the Pitkin County Senior Services Advisory Board, the Colorado Vintage Regional Advisory Council and serves as an Alzheimer’s Association Support Group Leader and Early Stage Leader. Maggie credits the dedicated team of professionals at Aspen Valley Health and Whitcomb Terrace, as well as its many interesting residents and their families, for making her career so rewarding. She describes Whitcomb Terrace as a “special gem” and feels blessed to be a part of a close-knit community where many people generously share their time and talent with residents.
