Our Departments
AVH is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and is a full-service critical access facility and Level III Trauma Center. To best care for our community, we offer state-of-the-art technology, enhanced diagnostic imaging and a modern facility. With additional clinic locations in the Upper Roaring Fork Valley, our campus extends beyond our main campus in Aspen to locations in Snowmass Village and Basalt—offering a seamless experience for all.

At AVH we offer a comprehensive range of benefits that are designed to support our employees both professionally and personally. Our robust benefits program helps our employees stay healthy, meet their financial goals, develop their careers and balance the demands of work and personal life. Please note that benefits vary based on employee type.
AVH offers two FSA options: the healthcare FSA and the dependent care FSA which allow you to pay for eligible healthcare and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Each employee is encouraged to take advantage of our comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental and vision plans—built with your needs in mind.
AVH understands the importance of a healthy work-life balance—that’s why as a full-time, half-time or part-time employee you will begin accruing PTO hours as soon as you start working.
Our cash balance plan pays 7.5% of your salary on an annual basis (in lieu of social security) for full-time and half-time employees.
Employees are eligible for life insurance that is two times your annual salary, paid for by AVH.
Start planning for your future today. AVH offers both a defined contribution and benefit retirement plan with both employee contributions and employer matching contributions.
Full-time and half-time employees receive a 50% discount on AVH services after it’s been processed through health insurance for you AND your dependents! Part-time, PRN and temporary employees receive a 25% discount.
After one year of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid leave is free to you and your family if you encounter an FMLA event.
Our robust wellness program can help you enhance your health and save money on your insurance premiums. AVH also offers a variety of mental health resources to help support your mental and emotional wellbeing, including a free Calm subscription and 24/7 access to our Zen Den. Our recreation benefits include discounted ski passes, free WE-cycle rentals and an onsite gym.
