Steven Furer, MD, FACEP

Dr. Steven Furer joined Aspen Valley Health’s emergency department in 2019. He spent 21 years at The Medical Center of Aurora on Colorado’s Front Range before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley. Dr. Furer is board certified by the American College of Emergency Physicians. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1988 and then spent the next four years studying medicine at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, graduating in 1992. He completed an emergency medicine residency at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx, NY, before moving back to Colorado. A Colorado native, Dr. Furer enjoys starting his mountain bike rides out of his garage, and appreciates that skiing and riding can be part of his day working at Aspen Valley Health.
