Anesthesiology
Advanced High-Quality, Compassionate Care
Since 1989, Aspen Anesthesia, Inc. has partnered with Aspen Valley Health to deliver expert anesthesia services. Our dedicated teams work closely with patients and their physicians at every stage of care, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience during surgical procedures.
Prior to surgery, the anesthesia team will work collaboratively with the patient and surgeon to determine the most appropriate anesthesia approach for the upcoming procedure. During surgery, the anesthesiologist carefully manages pain and continuously monitors vital signs using advanced technology to maintain patient safety. Once the procedure is complete, the team provides a personalized recovery plan focused on reducing discomfort, promptly managing any side effects that may occur and providing an at home care routine that will get you back to living your vibrant life swiftly.

Our Services
Local anesthesia with sedation: This type of anesthesia is useful for more minor surgeries. It is very safe and often provides good pain relief for many hours after surgery.
General anesthesia: This classic type of anesthesia allows for the patient to be fully asleep during his/her procedure. It is often combined with local or regional anesthesia to extend pain relief after awakening. New anesthesia agents allow the patient to be awake and alert very shortly after surgery.
Regional anesthesia:This is the “numbing” of a large area of the body by injecting local anesthetics around the major nerves serving that area. Due to the large amount of orthopedic surgery at Aspen Valley Health, this type of anesthesia is most commonly used. Regional anesthesia has a number of advantages, including the blocking of the body’s stress response to surgical stimulation, and perhaps most importantly, excellent pain relief long after the surgery is over.
