Traumatic Brain Injury Program
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program
The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program at AVH launched in 2014, allowing physicians, therapists, trainers and others access to best practices when managing adult and pediatric TBI patients.
As one of the most progressive and comprehensive brain injury programs on the Western Slope, the TBI Program allows our team of physicians and therapists to create individualized programs for each patient.
The program includes regular visits to the program’s home base at Aspen Valley Health, daily exercises at home and collaboration among the program’s different therapists, as well as other hospital and community resources.

Leading the Way to Better Outcomes
Our aggressive and highly personalized approach is associated with improved long-term outcomes when treatment commences within a few days of the injury. The TBI treatment plan begins in-house with a collaborative team of therapists, each specializing in different areas of rehabilitation. Targeted take-home exercises addressing individual needs will be assigned so patients can optimize the course of rehabilitation between therapist visits.
What to Look for After an Injury
Brain injuries can be incredibly complex. If you or someone you know has suffered a brain injury, these are some of the impairments that could occur.
