The Laboratory at Aspen Valley Health is an around-the-clock, state-of-the-art facility that provides personalized customer service along with a comprehensive laboratory testing menu that rivals those found in major market facilities.
In addition, the hospital lab is affiliated with Mayo Medical Laboratories, the national reference laboratory for Mayo Clinic, located in Rochester, Minnesota. Mayo Medical Laboratories, a medical center-based, physician led organization, is internationally known for its team of consultative experts that focus on the needs of the patient. The hospital’s collaboration with Mayo Medical Laboratories consolidates reference testing, improves turnaround time, and strengthens Aspen Valley Health’s efforts to provide exceptional laboratory services and patient care to the Roaring Fork Valley community.
Our Laboratory
About Us
The majority of our lab technologists at Aspen Valley Health possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology and are certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. Another extraordinary aspect of this well-trained group of technologists is that they boast an average of more than 24 years of cumulative experience per technologist, a rare feature in the working world of Aspen.
The hospital laboratory is licensed by the Food & Drug Administration and the government agency known as CLIA, which oversees clinical labs. The laboratory also receives regular accreditation from the College of American Pathologists and The Joint Commission.
